Hi Alistair and Mark,
Sounds just like what I’ve been doing. I tweet latches if big gap and use the tiny rubber drawer nubs to get a tight quiet fit on doors and kitchen unit.
I then listen on roads and track down vibration or thunks.
The kitchen makes a big difference once quieted down.
I also pack pans with dish towels in between and silverware in a small sac. I just like a quiet organized ride!
My van is also quieter filled with bedding, towelsand such.
Once I have all in order I go back and remove as many unneeded and duplicate items!
Having one of these vans means you will always be busy and always learning.
