I have removed & reattaced the plate. The table is particle board. I have always thought the whole thing was no quite up to par, especially the screw to release, tighten in place. How a person with big hands gets under there to handle that can't figure. Allistair, didn't you once design a levered clamp for that? Seems that would stop rattles, too.
