Hi Steve,
I've been on the Samba Vanagon forum for around seventeen years and am a
regular poster. For watched topics, I get an email alert any time there's a
new post, simple enough.
I like it. I've made good friends there and as I mentioned earlier, I love
the trip reports and great technical posts.
The Facebook groups have put a serious dent in Samba traffic. Similar to
the Vanagon List, it seems to now be primarily made up of a smaller group
of members who post regularly.
And it's not just the Samba. VW Vortex and Rennlist, two other forums I've
frequented at one time or another depending on what my non-Vanagon project
is at the time, have been decimated by defections to Facebook
