Not trying to hijack  Eric's thread (I am interested in the answer), but
I just pulled the hyena out of storage and was going though the
pre-sailing checklist when the faucet literally crumbled.  I suspect
old-age and UV are at play here :-)


Since it needs to be replaced, is there a better solution (which might
also address Eric's question)?
