Hi Dave,
You might consider adhering a magnet or magnets to the inside edge of the
table and one or several magnets to the interior wall of the vanagon - just
above the 2 stow containers where the table normally rests when not being
used. The table would hold itself semi-locked against the wall in this
manner and only require a little effort to pull into place. You would just
need to tighten the knob on the cupboard and not under the table.
