Thanks y’all for replies. I may have learned more than I set out to, and still have something I’ll just have to keep an eye on until I get used to a new normal.

So, both moving the sender and switching to synthetic could result in a lower reading, but several of you are running with my situation and still starting near 80 PSI. OK.

I have not had a good highway run to note readings at different speeds, but just watching it casually, it looks like nothing has changed except start-up. I was well above that minimum, assuming you meant 10 PSI per 1000 RPM Stuart.

The temp sensor got itself poked up the pressure relief hole, this was just about the two pressure senders on the tee. On the air bubble deal, y’all went all science on me and left me in the dust. We do bleed brake lines, but I’d need to think some on how I’d approach that tee with the engine running.

Thanks again, opinions help.

>>> Would moving the sender in that manner cause a change, or that much change, in the reading? >>> Does synthetic oil make that much difference in start-up pressure?
