Thanks guys,

I thought of the switch being roached so I used my spare switch that is known good. It’s really crazy I simply replaced the two blue grey wires just the way they were. The wire that melted was daisy chained to the other blue grey wire to the female connector that goes to the heater lights. I replaced the white male female connector with a current male female. The wire from the switch to the instrument cluster was collateral damage. Didn’t change a thing except the inline fuse. If the short was still there wouldn’t the fuse blow? Just don’t know how I could have wired into constant power. I just replaced the two wires. No fuses are popping and no wires are melting luckily. A couple wires were ever so slightly damaged so I electrical taped them just in case.
