OK, Vanagon Gang, I am ready to star the 2.1 litre engine in my ,91 Carat, but i have found two things that have me puzzld and I don't know where they go.

(1) there is a very short piece of hose on the back of the fuel regulator. It appears to have been cut. It would be easy fix, but Bentley is as clear as mud for the use of that hose and where it should attach opposite the regulator. Page 24.46 I think. Any ideas?

(2) in the bundle of four wire that go to the hall sender connector, there are three that go into the connector itself. There is a fourth wire - brown with black stripe - with a loop fitting on the end. Definitely looks like a screw goes thru it to ground it somewhere, but I can't find a reference to it or where it goes. ANY ideas would be appreciated!
