Hi Eric. > I’m looking for a recommendation for a USB dual device to replace my > original 12 socket. ...... But, I want to get one as powerful as possible. Caveats: I'm looking at the 1985 wiring diagram and imagining possible scenarios. I'm not an electrical expert. The cigarette lighter outlet, brake lights, interior lights, are on an 8 Amp fuse. The internet shows charge port devices with two 2.1 Amp USB outlets. Some also have a cigarette lighter outlet. With just a two 2.1 Amp outlet device installed, if the brake lights and interior lights are on, USB devices pulling full Amps, would that total current draw blow that 8 Amp fuse? Some of these USB port charge devices have a voltage display. That can be quite useful. Neil.
