I personally like the way the gauge acts. When it stops moving when cornering, accelerating, or stopping I know I’d better get gasoline now or I’m walking.

I never had to walk, but I’ve coasted in to more than one gas station and one time actually had to coast back to a flat spot on an exit ramp for the pickup to get enough gas to start, wait for clear traffic to cross for the gas station across the street.

Ooh, I think I know this one too. ;)

I just bought a new fuel tank, and the label said "60l", or 15.8gal. I recall seeing a 15.3 gal fill recently when I was very low, so that all seems about right.

While we're on gas tanks, is anyone aware of any upgrades to the gas gauge system? With the flat tank and sender float at a corner, the gauge moves around a lot as the fuel sloshes around. If there were a more precise system, I'd be able to drive with more peace of mind and fill up less frequently.

Alex
