Yikes. I have new a fuel tank (JP Group from GoWesty, IIRC) waiting to go in in the next month or three when I do my cooling tubes.

Is there any way to check or clean the tank before it goes in to avoid these issues?

Thanks also Dennis and Ken for the tips on the fuel sender. I assume soapy water and mouth air pressure with the other holes plugged is good for finding leaks?
