Subject: Easy way to adjust slider window latch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Hi folks,

So, I’ve now serviced both slider window latches and am happy with the results. I had mentioned having a flat head screw driver bent on two sides that allowed for the access to the screw under the latch. That worked for the passenger side but the driver side has less clearance due to the stove top.

I found that I could remove that screw or adjust it much easier by simply taking a flat head screw driver head, like the ones used in a cordless drill. Then use a small wrench to turn it while holding it up with a finger. This was so darn easy compared to the other tool.

So, if you want to tighten or loosen that spring or fix the latch from moving that is the tool I’d recommend! Man, I wish I could think of these

tricks at the start of a project! But, window latches nice and tight now!
