for reference to propane filling capacity....
I live in an Oregon rural area with no natural gas hook up and no city
water (we have a well). We have a large propane tank on the property. A
propane truck comes to refill the tank on a fixed schedule and the driver
always fills the tank to 80% mark on the gauge. I asked why not 90% or 100%
he said the 20% remaining space is for propane expansion for safety in
general and for the burners in the house (stove and heater), too much
pressure they won't work right.
