I did mine a few months ago. I used Dynamat Hoodliner (Dynamat Hoodliner Stop Road Noise! at Crutchfield <https://www.crutchfield.com/p_15411905/Dynamat-Hoodliner.html>). It was a mess to get the old stuff out but in the end it turned out pretty well. Here's a photo: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/2135709.jpg. My engine cover had to be raised slightly to make room for a conversion engine, so your results may vary. <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail&utm_term=icon> Virus-free. www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail&utm_term=link> <#m_-3933517257253470064_DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> On Thu, Jul 1, 2021 at 10:22 PM Thomas Casal <thomas.casal@gmail.com> wrote: > Cascade audio has a pretty nice heat sound barrier super thick foam that I > keep thinking I wanna use to replace the foam on the engine cover and above > the trans but I’m afraid to open that can of worms.
