Hi folks, So, I’m curious, on the original bus the vents were low around the body of the van, in the Bay and early vanagon up high in the rear, and now with water-cooled still up high in the rear. When the bus stops after a long ride the passenger side vent is cool and there is no smell, This side has the air intake The driver side is warm and smells like a working engine. So it seems like hot air is venting out the driver side and possibly coming in the passenger side. So, What would be the advantage to adding a scoop to either side or both? It seems to me that the passenger side is getting plenty of air and the driver side needs the hot air to rise out and away. A scoop on the driver side might be forcing air into the engine compartment that would normally escape. If any scoop advantage maybe just on the passenger side? So, any thoughts on scoops for our water cooled vanagon? In other words, what is the scoop on scoops? Eric Caron Currently happily scoopless. |
