Understand.  On my 2004 Toyota Highlander, with 138 K Miles, all is good, solid.  I can't figure out either why Vanagon CV boots tend to fail.  I did like that option that one guy showed...with multiple convolutions on boot, as opposed to the Rockford boots (which I am currently running).  It sort of makes sense....less stress with more convolutions.  Thicker rubber may not be a good thing, as opposed to multiple convolutions, less stress in the long term.
