On this topic,
I wonder if any of the current venders are looking at this seriously.
I love my current vanagon set up. It has never felt so solid. And even fun and safe on the highway.
But, a nice vanagon with electric motor, brakes that recharge, solar recharge and usual charge. Electric appliances, heat pump.
I may have the best of both worlds. My current set up for a decade or so and then a electric conversion.
On the other hand, just keep the classic and have a electric from the ground up sitting next to it!
Still, interesting to see if the conversions change from the current options to electric.
