Hi Neil,

I think, purely a WAG, the extra curviness is to allow a wee bit more flex between the stationary expansion tank, and the vibrating motor. But really, I dunno.

And to be honest , when putting the motor back in this summer I thought that hose slid onto the pipe really to easily. Being an a**hole I said to myself … why can’t they make the stainless pipe right size?

Turns out probably, the hose was on its way out .
