On this topic,

I wonder if any of the current venders are looking at this seriously.

I love my current vanagon set up. It has never felt so solid. And even fun and safe on the highway.

But, a nice vanagon with electric motor, brakes that recharge, solar recharge and usual charge. Electric appliances, heat pump.

I may have the best of both worlds. My current set up for a decade or so and then a electric conversion.

On the other hand, just keep the classic and have a electric from the ground up sitting next to it!

Still, interesting to see if the conversions change from the current options to electric.

My Boston Bob 2.1 has about 50k km on it so expect it to run a good long time - long enough for electric conversions to become commonplace. > Jeff > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Aug 25, 2021, at 8:25 PM, Eric Caron <ericcaron96@comcast.net> wrote: >> >> I actually think it will be great when along with posts about gas engines and diesel, and different types of gas engines in our vans we include questions on caring for electric vans. >> >> I expect mine to run as is for a long time. >> >> But, who knows what 15 years from now might bring? >> >> But, my hope is to have a very cool electric VW camper and a very special 85 Vanagon side by side. >> >> Fingers crossed the electric one drives itself! >> >> Eric >> >> >> >> >>> On Aug 25, 2021, at 4:05 PM, Marc Perdue <mcperdue@GMAIL.COM> wrote: >>> >>> Funny!
