The pressure side line to my AC Compressor loosened up about 1 year after replacing. It was cooling fine, then as the connection vibrated loose, it discharged oil and R134a, I shut it off as soon as it stopped cooling. I was surprised it came loose, as it was tightened up pretty snug when I installed it last summer. I guess this may be something to check on a regular basis. My question is, since I observed AC oil under the van, do I need to replace or add additional oil before recharging it? If so, what is the best procedure to do that, and do I just add the proper level to the compressor? Jack R. 84 Westy |
