Here is more detail on this project van. It came in running poorly, no brakes or power steering.

Wow. That's like some crazy cock-eyed Frankenstein neck bolts. IIRC, I'd seen the same or similar issue in a thread on the samba Vanagon forum.

It's official. From now on I'll only put 2 miles a day on my Westy daily driver.
