I’m just keeping this info handy as I should be in good shape for the reasonable future. But, with the cost of a power steering rack and all the components, I can’t help but wonder if a electric upgrade would start to make sense. For my friend the PO had put in a manual rack so when he saw a new electric unit come up for sale from someone that never got around to installing it He went for it and is very happy.
His was the kit out of the UK.
So, in the future, if someone, like one of our venders, has a kit that would be a very interesting upgrade.
And, if a friend in my community is parting out a van with a manual rack I’ll probably ask about holding on to it!
Some may say why not go simple and use a manual rack and big steering wheel? This might work for some but my small wife is the main driver so power steering needs to work.
