Slight change in this topic. 

I don’t see myself ever adding air conditioning to my bus.  But, if I were to have a couple good years of reliability with several ahead I might just consider it.  Summers are getting so darn hot.

So, any compact efficient modern systems that can go in or under the dash or some other clever location? 

I wonder if the heat pump design used in a car like the Tesla Y might become more available and affordable.  Sort of a heat pump for cars. 

Any modern systems in use out there?
