Hi folks,

Sort of an early Friday question. I have an early bus hatch in great shape gifted to me by a friend that had to empty his house for selling. I think it is mid 1960’s but not sure. Is there any clear way to know the vintage of a rear hatch? It is intact including lock. The lock is a push button round, a circle with no part pointing down. No hinges. But window and internal cover all in very good shape.

Color is faded to a lovely salmon color.

I gave away many parts to friends with early busses but am considering either an art project or selling it to put a little cash back into my Vanagon.

My wife has seriously suggested mounting it over the fire place as it is very fun.

So, how to know the date of the bus it came from?
