I’d get a motive power bleeder or watch a video on bench bleeding. I’ve heard old timers say they’ve never done anything but gravity bleed but I’m not sure I have the patience. After I drained all my brake fluid replacing my rear rubber brake hoses because the nut was stuck. I power bled my system and the brakes were still a bit spongy, waited 24hrs for the brake fluid to calm down and power bled some more and they were still a bit spongy, it took a little time but they firmed up. I also upgraded the booster so the pedal feel is totally different now. You may as well upgrade to the metal brake hoses since you have to drain the fluid anyway. Not sure if you can wait on parts, I always end up just over hauling everything in the system once I open Pandora’s box.
