Good call.  But I just replaced my old 185/14's with a new set of American Racing 17" wheels and all season tires, ala Dennis Haynes.  It took a while, but he talked me into it.

Really folks, I know it's my speedometer.  Does anyone recall or know of some talented person who can open one of these up and fix the problem? Dave B.the Boston oneReally glad to be back on the list

Take a look at the hub on left front wheel.  The wheel end of the speedometer fits into a bracket there.  John On Thu, 2022-01-20 at 17:17 +0000, ddbjorkman@verizon.net wrote: Hi Zoltan; The cable has already been replaced.  Problem still there.  Needle shakes, not bouncing.  Dave B.

The clicking is the cable is broken.  Change it. Check the book and see how it is done.  Takes time.  Not much gray matter. Zoltan in Hungary

Hello all; My speedometer needle is bouncing around and I have a clicking noise.  I lubed it up with a non-petroleum lubricant by dripping it onto the speedo cable and reinserting it and driveing a bit a few times.  I thought it worked, but the problem soon reared ir's ugly head and came back.I seem to remember someone doing speedometer repair.  My eyes are no good for that kind of job so I'm looking for someone to do it.Any thoughts on this one. Dave B.the Boston oneHoping my posts are going through at last.
