As a matter of fact, Dennis Haynes installed the speedo cable when he put on the new wheels.  He's fairly talented guy, so I would expect that he routed it correctly.  The cable he removed was in good shape.  But I have tried moving the connection at the speedo and have found it changes the way the speedo reacts and i have reduced the clicking noise, but it still is shaky needle and needs fixing. Sometimes just re-routing the cable will do it.  Find a more comfortable route for it. Less kink. Z

Hi Zoltan; The cable has already been replaced.  Problem still there.  Needle shakes, not bouncing. Dave B.

The clicking is the cable is broken.  Change it. Check the book and see how it is done.  Takes time.  Not much gray matter. Zoltan in Hungary

Hello all; My speedometer needle is bouncing around and I have a clicking noise.  I lubed it up with a non-petroleum lubricant by dripping it onto the speedo cable and reinserting it and driveing a bit a few times.  I thought it worked, but the problem soon reared ir's ugly head and came back.I seem to remember someone doing speedometer repair.  My eyes are no good for that kind of job so I'm looking for someone to do it.Any thoughts on this one. Dave B.the Boston oneHoping my posts are going through at last.
