Thanks Richard, It has been a very long while since i have added or changed (drive the van rarely these days) the coolant. Maybe two years, but 3-4 thousand miles. I can't really see the coolant level in the pressure vessel, but the overflow tank shows to be full at the maximum mark with crystal clear blue coolant. So, do I add more coolant to the overflow tank, or directly to the pressure tank? I don't recall ever doing the latter. So, should I overfill the overflow tank, drive and expect the coolant to flow back into the pressure tank? Or can I add coolant to the overflow tank even if the engine is hot? I've certainly always thought, "Don't open a coolant system when hot." There has been no recurrance of the blinking light.

Regarding the metal pressure vessell, I have considered that in the past, but have had a hard time justifying the price.

Dave
