Often not thinking well, but this time I have an out.
I understand your thoughts about the arc described via the bushing mounts of the trailing arm. And we both keep in mind the added length of the 16” Syncro trailing arm that at least on the diesel 16, has the angled spacer on the spring perch.
My modded trailing arm is not lengthened, but… currently on my Syncro I have spacers on the top spring perch.
This pushes the arc downwards more than the stock set up. So my lower spring perch is starting out , un loaded, further towards 7 o’clock . Starting lower clocks the entire range of motion of that described arc a certain amount.
The new angled spring perch might mitigate that increased angle.
You picking up what I’m laying down?
:-)

So it’s sitting at, in essence, full compression. I’ll see if I can get a pic showing relative angles at that position
