The math is what it's all about.  I'm sure you took a look at it, even if a cursory one.I would definitely cant the upper to match the lower.  I would think it would make the spring much happier.  Road test will tell all.

I’m thinking … if the canted perch is a mistake… taking into consideration the arc of the trailing arm travel, I can modify the plastic pad on top to have opposite canting.

I’m eager to see just how the geometry works out.
