 I thought about it some more.  Basically, I don't have the room in garage to store.  Also, I think for me it is fine to squirm around on my backside wearing junk clothes with flashlight in teeth and under Vanagon for inspection, from stem to stern about 3 times per year.  This inspection will allow me to contact a competent Vanagon mechanic as necessary.  As far as me doing important jobs myself?  Nah.  I don't have the equipment and tools and know-how anyway.  And of course, I do the same 3X/year inspection of engine compartment from above.  Always fun to see something that is just not right.

I like the mechanic creeper.. I used it for a while but I don't use it any

I lost clearance when I used it (i.e. under a Carat)... so I used a large
piece of cardboard and crawled on my back... :-)
