Answer:  Because on a remote highway at night, when asked to produce them by an ‘authority’ with a bad attitude, I don’t want to get shot rummaging around the van.

well.. after reading this post about keeping the registration and insurance
in the van, then I have an idea...


Why keep them in the glove box? - Why not keep them in a zip lock bag under
the bench seat?
