This pic - https://pbase.com/spacecommander/image/172714047 the power steering sensor missed a wire. That sensor is for raising the idle when the power steering is locked tight left or right.

This pic - https://pbase.com/spacecommander/image/172714046 The round plug on the alternator is for a VW diagnostic device, not used anymore long ago.
