Subject: Alternator pulley
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

Hey fellas, I replaced my alternator with a new busdepot unit. The pulley wheel was different so I swapped my old pulley wheel on to it but that was causing the little blades on the pulley to rub on the body of the alternator during idle. I even tightened the pulley bolt more and still had the issue. So I figured I should use the pulley that came with the unit. It has a big gap and then a grooved end kind of away from the alternator. Welp that pulley wheel ended up destroying my belt. Driving home from pa to jersey my battery light came on. Got towed to tractor supply grabbed one of their belts just to get me home bud it melted in like 10 miles. Can I flip the pulley around so the grooves end is by the alternator where it should be? I don’t have the old pulley wheel I sent it back with my core refund like a bone head now I think I’m screwed. So annoyed it’s been so long since I’ve had the row of shame. Hope you all are enjoying your holiday sorry for the email but I’m in a pickle. Tom
