My conversion was essentially Small Car. But some things were not. My tranny adapter came from Outfront Motor Sports for example. My harness conversion was done by Busaru.Fabulous job. My engine, a ej2.5 came from a 2005 OUTBACK. Very problematic. I highly recommend staying away from that one. It is a combination of PRE 2005 and new stuff for the 2006 engines and it is a poor mix for conversion. Lots of headaches.I bit into it before I knew. But Mick at BUSARU knew what to do and saved the day, but it was complicated so I recommend staying away from that one. On later vans getting the tach right is an issue. The simplest way to deal with it is to get the tach modifier from Busaru that simply plugs into your wiring harness and gives you a proper RPM readout. Far better than sending your tach out to be modified or trying to do it yourself. Easy to mess up your tach. I got the device for $50 but it probably has gone up since then. |
