I have been wanting to get my van restored for at least seven years and I am finally seeing the results trickle in. The van is being restored by Vivid Vans who reside on Vancouver Island in a town between Victoria and Nanaimo called Duncan. http://www.vividvans.com/

I dropped the van off this past January and then took a float plane ride back home to Vancouver. Vivid began working on project "Green Day" mid March. The pictures are in the order of deconstruction - with the intact picture of the van taken the day I left it behind and the skeletal shots taken in May. I am waiting for an update as I understand the panels are being tacked on and so something should be coming soon.

I'll be adding a big brake kit, oil cooler, new suspension, new bushings, clutch, 16" MB wheels, new brake and steering lines, starter, fuel tank kit, new tent, solar, a Webasto furnace...plus a few other odds and ends.

Anyway I figured I would clean up the platform otherwise it would have slowly disintegrated on me - before considering an engine upgrade. There is still some life left in the 2.1 boxer and hoping the oil cooler will extend it a little further.

Hopefully the link works.
