At two van gatherings I could not help notice a few amazing new items. It seems like innovation for these van’s just keep happening.

One van in particular, a 84 twin to my van had cool items on my wish list.

First, He had a 85 and later utensil drawer. A 3 D printer made a organizer for it that included a shelf that slides and provides more area for items. It sort of reminds me of the glove box organizer and I’d love one.

The other item that stood out was a shower tent that attached to the rain gutter like a awning. Mounted on driver side rear. It is a little box and when opened create a sturdy shower or toilet tent. The product was from a company call Kick Ass out of Australia. Next was a solar light small and compact. Like my blow up lantern but instead it was the folding collapsible plastic and sort of looks like a lamp shade when open and folds up tiny.

There were many more items. I love seeing what people come up with.

I met several new bus owners and it is so much fun seeing them figuring out life in a van. I see them making the same journey of discovery I did and continue to.

So, any new cool useful items out there?

High on my list are rechargable USB items like small powerful fans, flash lights head lamps, and dual solar USB lights with remotes.

One man had a marine grade water pump direct fit for his tank. Louder but strong and I suspect more durable. I forgot to get the info from him.

My favorite items were with a experienced bus caretaker but not a collector of links.

On my list is also the Bus Depot side mirrors recommended to me by a list member. The Land Rover with special mount. I got to touch them and I’ convinced.
