Well... here's my thinking. The vanagon (all versions) is meant to be used either for business or leisure. It's not meant to be a "Garage Queen" or a collector's vehicle. Of course for some reasons such as this... the owner purchases it, using it once or twice and due to health problems (or any other reason) he/she puts it in storage. Later on the van becomes a *"a pristine van"*, mint and original condition. I might be wrong but I don't think any of us on this forum will purchase such *a "pristine van" *and put it in storage again.
