Alistair, Curious about why having the hoses rebuilt meant no dampener. Were there different ways that was done where the dampener was built into the hose? I had mine rebuilt at a local shop nine years ago, and they swapped in the dampener as well as the end fittings. Like original, but all new hose. I think it was just over $100 US for the whole set. https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ag0DyVeyF6ELePJkZEnfYyiTMIU?e=eXOha1 gp β87 T3 β81 R65 β61 TR3 From: Alistair Bell Sent: Sunday, August 7, 2022 8:29 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Power steering pump hi press hose The good thing about the original is that it has a section in the middle of the rubber hose that has a small orifice which dampens the pump pulses, keeping thing quiet. But I decided to have a local shop replace the rubber, and therefore no vibration dampener. The shop was coast industrial here in Victoria, on Duppelin. Actually itβs been bought by greenline and called that now. But same staff as before. |
