Hi folks,

One change I did make, during the tank change out, I was having trouble locating the correct size fuel line for the tank to pump and during the search a local vanagon repair shop I recently discovered said he would recommend putting in a pre filter in addition to the post filter. He would not recommend the plastic cube but instead recommended a WIX 33248. I put this in line before the pump. I felt as the tank is new and as I could get crud in by accident, the pre filter could only do good. This filter goes right in the 11 mm line from tank to pump.

As I noted, in an earlier post, the pump is quiet so no restriction created by the additional filter.

Also, when I ordered my injectors from Mansispeed, I noticed he also recommends a pre pump filter for the 86 and later and makes a kit. This inline filter seems a easy way to do the same thing.

Eric Caron
