Subject: Completed coolant hose repair,
              now throttle switch needs replacement
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

I finally got all the hoses replaced and along with a new aluminum distribution tower. Wow, what a job that was! I bet I put 40+ hours into the project. I managed to get the two bolts underneath the heads out to help drain old coolant and refilled with Final Charge Global. No leaks now!

On the test drive there was an issue with the engine cutting out. Releasing the gas pedal helped when this occurred. When I got back home I checked for any wires that might be loose and then put a meter on the connector for the throttle switch. The microswitch was bad, was showing some resistance when it should have been open. The switch is sealed, couldn’t open it up to clean it, so I’ve ordered a replacement switch. I’ve had problems with the throttle switch in the past but always an adjustment issue, never a bad switch like this.
