Subject: Followup on 3 turns of ebrake yoke nut
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

I was apprehensive....thinking I might screw things up.  My ebrake just wasn't holding.  That's no good.  I related how by trial and error on a 10° slope I gradually adjusted the Yoke Nut.  Mine is '85 Tintop, with corrugated boot on handle.  Anyway, after about 700 miles and many pulls on ebrake in a multitude of situations, I can report all is well and good.  It took 3 turns, about .120" of travel.  Yes...Click 1 says OK, Click 2 says I'm starting to feel it nicely, Click 3 says holding things pretty darn good almost there, Click 4 says Rear Brakes are locked and solid.  That's all the clicks I got.  No issues whatsover with brake performance, no smells of overheating.  It is very nice to pull into a parking lot with a slope, pull the handle, and have Vanagon locked.  Just my experience.
