Sounds good to go.

Sometimes when my van is in the air I’ll check that the emergency brake is not catching and rear wheels turning. I’ve been known to take out the slack in the cables by turning that nut if things seem loose. I then double check all is free when brake off and drive.

Sounds like you were incredibly thoughtful and successful in your adjustment.

I related how by trial and error on a 10° slope I gradually adjusted the Yoke Nut. Mine is '85 Tintop, with corrugated boot on handle. Anyway, after about 700 miles and many pulls on ebrake in a multitude of situations, I can report all is well and good. It took 3 turns, about .120" of travel. Yes...Click 1 says OK, Click 2 says I'm starting to feel it nicely, Click 3 says holding things pretty darn good almost there, Click 4 says Rear Brakes are locked and solid. That's all the clicks I got. No issues whatsover with brake performance, no smells of overheating. It is very nice to pull into a parking lot with a slope, pull the handle, and have Vanagon locked. Just my experience.
