There is enough room to put all the solar panels to supply all of America's electricity needs on all the rooftops in all the cities in America. There is no need to cover our prairies and deserts with them. Only corporate interests promote the latter over the former. Though the technical matters are more complex, the same is true of wind power, especially if farm fields are included in that case. Solar has environmental, especially wildlife advantages over wind.
