Steppers lose steps. Servos baby :-)
And forget both … Have scales for feed back, don’t use the ball screw driver for position. That and code that has predictive motion . Now I’m into area I have no knowledge…. G code has predictive but the industry is so more advanced than I can understand . That said, I’m using servos and steppers in the machines I use. Can’t afford the really good things… like a kern cnc :-)
