I went to the local hardware store and bought what they had on the shelf. There’s really nothing special about it. A roll of it will last a lifetime and it’s not really expensive.

Remove 4 screws. Gently press the tabs on the lamp holder in. Remove lamp holder. Mine’s an '84, so they don’t get *much* older. There was never any fear of breaking the plastic.
