Subject: 1991 westy - van repaint messed up front windshield wiper grommets
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Hi all, I stripped the van down to get a repaint leaving windows in but pretty much everything else off.

I was not paying attention and ripped the grommets on the front windshield wipers - essentially taking the top half off and the bottom half is still in place on the wiper shaft. I am reassembling the van and need a reasonable solution to repair.

Would it be reasonable to buy some new grommets (or rubber o rings) and cut the bottom away and put some sealant in place and reassemble the wipers? Or do I need to pull the dash out and reinstall new grommets?

Thanks for your sage input.

Sincerely, Kevin Gilleran
