Still...you can do some kind of hybrid repair. Sure, use some metal of some kind as re-enforcement. The stout JB Weld epoxy will pull it all together. Yes, we all totally understand about nickel-size corner broken off. So, you need to somehow glean into solid structure. And then re-build after that. Take your time...think it through...don't rush. You will have marvelous success!
Nah...trying to glue Part A onto Part B....no good. You need heavy duty arrangement and approach. Substantial substructure...that's the key.

A corner is broken off, roughly the size of a nickel. I had it but lost it.
I have pulled a lot of electrical stuff our chasing down another (fog light
relay) problem, which was my main issue before I got sidetracked on this.
So much is missing that I don't think it would be possible to repair
without some sort of reinforcement. I am thinking of cutting out two steel
rectangles the size of the strip of plastic on each side that originally
had the corners, s about an inch wide and five inches long. Eac strip will
have the two holes for it's side of the housing, and there will be a lot of
surface area to glue the metal to. I always scuff it up and clean it. I
doubt I'll ever have to deal with it again after I do this.
