Well regardless of Vanagon or Eurovan, I purchased the vehicle cover for a 1986 Vanagon Westy and bought it from Bus Depot about 3 years ago. I have only used it for one winter and the van is housed in a carport and so it is already protected mainly from the elements. The primary reason I bought the cover was to store my van over the winter, especially once I got it completely refurbished with body work completed and new paint splashed on it. Still not yet completed - but I think maybe by the end of this summer it will be ready and I'll break out the cover again for the coming winter months. Anyway I really like the BD cover - seemingly good thick material and it has 3 zippered access points to the 2 front doors and the sliding door. This is really handy ro get into the van and check moisture, turn a space heater on or off, check the batteries, check for critters, sit in it and have a cocktail during the winter and pretend you're camping etc.. I think the Eurovan covers also have the zippered feature and will likely be the same material. When not in use - the product rolls up like an extra big old style sleeping bag - probably the size of 2 cubic feet or so. I give the Bus Depot product my full endorsement (for a Vanagon Westy) and for my set up. If I recall, it is also reasonably priced and I was knocked out by the speed of BD's shipping from the North East US to Vancouver Canada. Bruce |
