Hi friends, I’m hoping to be put in the right direction or give me some thoughts on where to start. I returned from a short ride today, about 15 or 20 miles. I noticed at one point in the trip at a stop and later as we backed into the garage a slight gas smell. Engine also had a very slight hesitation in reverse. I check the gas cap and it had no pressure and no smell around it. I then decided to pressurize the system. It was a little hard to hear over the buzzer but I could hear bubbles in the gas tank when pump on. After a few minutes I could turn the key and hear it again. So, I suspect somewhere air is getting into the system. Anyone ever have this happen and where might I start looking or smelling to track this down? I have not noticed a consistent or strong gas smell yet but have only started to chase this down. 85 2.3 with GW engine management. Eric Caron |
